The American Red Cross will hold the following blood drives for the month of November  (and to make an appointment or for more information call 1-800-REDCROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org):   Nov. 17 at the Swansea YMCA from 1-6; Nov. 20 at Monomoy Regional High School in Harwich from 2:30-7:30; Nov. 21 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River from 12-5; Nov. 22 at the Mansfield Holiday Inn from 9:30-2:30; Nov. 22 at American Legion Post 144 in Scituate from 9-2; Nov. 22 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford from 10-3; Nov. 24 at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee from 1-6.

Townsend Congregational Church will hold their annual indoor Holiday Craft & Greens Fair Nov. 18 from 10-3 at 3 Brookline Street, Townsend.  There will be custom crafts, food, children's activities, music and Santa Claus.

Illuminate Thanksgiving is an inspirational evening promoting gratitude and giving, in partnership with America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration, being held Nov. 18 on the lawn at the New Town Hall, 26 Court Street in downtown Plymouth from 4-5:15.  Free and open to the public, 

The Historic Winslow House in Marshfield is holding a feast to remember, where everyone gets to relax and they take care of the dishes for you!  Family-style turkey dinner with all the fixins' plus drinks and appetizers, Nov. 18 beginning at 3 p.m. with dinner at 4.  Call 781-837-5753 for reservations.

The Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton presents "Mindful:  Exploring Mental Health Through Art", Nov. 18-22. Opening reception Nov. 18th from 2-5, panel discussion at 3.  This traveling exhibit breaks down societal stigmas and offers an opportunity to encounter and understand mental health through the lens of contemporary craft.

American Legion Post 40 (Federal Furnace Road) in Plymouth is hosting an evening of celebration and thanks for the Veterans of your community, consisting of music, raffles, games of chance and delicious food donated by Cabby Shack.  Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.  508-746-0009.

Christ Church Parish in Plymouth is holding an old-fashioned church supper Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall (149 Court St.)  Dinner includes beef stroganoff, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage, followed by friendly fellowship.

First Parish Church in Kingston is holding a special service Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. in celebration of its milestone 300th anniversary, followed by a reception across the street at the Beal House.  This service pays tribute to the long, rich history of First Parish in the community.

Colony Place in Kingston has lots of events going on Nov. 19.  There will be Hayrides with Santa and his team of Clydesdales from 11-3 (in the parking lot near Pier 1 Imports).  Also professional Victorian Carolers, dance performances and DJ holiday music!

The Plymouth Area Interfaith Clergy Association will present an interfaith service, "Thanksgiving In Many Voices", Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at The Church of the Pilgrimage in Town Square, Plymouth.  There will be speakers from various area churches and music by Persephone's Daughters.

School on Wheels of Massachusetts is having their "Open the Door" Gala Nov. 16 at Showcase Live, Patriot Place in Foxboro, from 6-10 p.m.  Meet their students and hear their stories!  School on Wheels supports the academic, social and emotional growth of students impacted by homelessness.

Congregation Beth Jacob in downtown Plymouth is holding a Celebration of Diversity with their LGBTQ Shabbat Service Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m.  508-746-1575.

Heidrea for Heroes is looking to help our Veteran families in need (within our service area).  If you know of a deserving family, please nominate them by Nov. 30, 9 a.m., by submitting an email with the following info:  name of vet, phone/email, town, branch, service years, discharge status, number of children, and a paragraph explaining why you think this family would benefit from this Christmas gift assistance.
